Eating out

There are over 30 restaurants in Pissouri Village and Bay offering everything from takeaway kebabs to Indian cuisine, from Italian to fish and chips. We have listed some of the restaurants that we frequently visit and enjoy, however, there are lots to choose from.

Restaurants located in the Village

Hill View Restaurant

The Hill View is set at the very top of the village and has outstanding views across the village and Pissouri Bay. 

Bunch of Grapes

Set in a magnificent courtyard the Bunch of Grapes is one of Pissouri’s oldest and most famous restaurants.

Steakhouse by Michael

If you’re craving for a delicious juicy steak, then Steakhouse by Michael is the place to be!

O'Vrakas Taverna

Located on the village Square the O’Vrakas restaurant offers great food, wines and entertainment with Cyprus and Bouzouki

Two Friend's Tavern

Two Friends is a lovely restaurant that serves grilled meat and fish, as well as traditional Cypriot food, and not to forget their signature “pot” dishes.

Hideaway

Down some steps at the side of the Sparti Bar lies the Hideaway. A great little restaurant serving grilled meat and fish plus traditional dishes. 

Antonis kebabs

Antonis kebabs opposite the Iron Horse Bar serves great kebabs and crepes. No need to leave the bar just place your order and they will bring it to you.

Saffron Indian Restaurant

Contemporary Indian cuisine cooked to your liking. The combination of spices is some of the best we have tasted. 

Pizza Venetto

You can dine in, order a takeaway and on some days/times they offer a delivery service. Be careful the pizza sizes are BIG!

Pissouri Bay Cafe

This is probably the best burger in Cyprus! The food served here is excellent and situated close to the beach is an ideal lunchtime venue.

Yialos Fish Tavern

The Yialos Fish Tavern is situated 50 metres from the famous Pissouri beach having spectacular views to the sea.

Artemis Restaurant

Here you can enjoy traditional homemade Cypriot dishes alfresco in the summer or by the wood burning fire in the winter months.

Captain's Bay

This restaurant overlooking the beach has stunning views of the bay. Ideal for nipping off the beach for a drink or some lunch. It’s our beer o’clock drinks spot.

Melanda Fish Restaurant

Our favourite place to eat. Just outside Pissouri in Avdimou, this restaurant reminds me of Shirley Valentine. Serves great fish and is open all day until about 9 pm.

Alektor Stala Grill

Located a few miles outside Pissouri the Stala Grill specialises in homemade Cypriot dishes, ribs, burgers and meat pies.   

Mandria Fish and Chips

This traditional fish and chip restaurant in Mandria (near Paphos airport) serves great fish and chips. 

Oniro by the sea

Overlooking sea caves and a shipwreck this is a stunning location to dine. Located north of Coral Bay about an hour’s drive but well worth it! 

The Last Castle

 Ths Last Castle is a lunchtime BBQ venue offering the tastiest chicken and pork ever! The views over the Akamas Peninsula are stunning.
