The beach forms part of a long sheltered bay made up of a mixture of sand and pebble. It is safe for children, with a lifeguard on duty during peak season. Plenty of sunbeds are available for hire, but not the wall to wall type that you find at other resorts.
There are a number of tavernas along the sea-front, and one of our favourite restaurants, the Limanaki. Set back just off the beach is a small parade of shops with a couple of grocery stores, coffee shop, bike hire, a couple of bars, beach wares/gift shop and several restaurants.
For watersports enthusiasts sailing, windsurfing, kite surfing, water ski-ing and parascending are on offer along with pedalos and kayaks. For a couple of hours in the afternoon jet skis and banana rides are also available.
